Service Offerings

Drive Star operates its North American operations in three distinct market niches;

• A. Local
• B. Regional
• C. Long Haul
Our Long Haul (C) service offering is made up of four niche market offerings;
1. Single Unit drive-a-way
2. Piggyback/Decking
3. Boom Transfers
4. Tow-a-way

We provide full service Interstate & Intrastate as well as Inter-Provincial and Extra-Provincial.

• A. Our Local Truck Delivery Service is offered in those cities in which Drive Star has a terminal or satellite branch. We offer pick up and delivery for our local city customers as well as providing support services to our central operations group.
• B. Our Regional Truck Delivery Service is offered by our terminal, satellite and central operations groups. We offer pick up and delivery of trucks regionally within a 300 mile radius of any terminal or satellite branch for our regional customer base as well as for our central operations group. We can also provide regional deliveries for our customers in those areas and cities where we do not have terminal or satellite operations, however at a different price point.
• C. Our Long Haul (or more commonly known as our “Highway”) truck Delivery Service is offered through our Central Dispatch department available at 866 – DRV - STAR. We offer full service Single Unit drive-a-way and piggybacking throughout North America and Mexico.

Each of our terminals is responsible for sourcing customers in their geographic area offering all three levels of service. However, the ultimate responsibility for long haul transfers rests with the central operations group.

We understand that each of our customers is unique and have varying levels of service requirements depending on the individual piece of equipment or even the time of the month.

       It is for this reason that we have developed three distinct service / pricing options for
       single unit “OTR” drive-a-way;

• Option # 1 – Expedited Service (Level “A”)

  This service is offered to those customers who are faced with the most demanding service requirements. When this service is selected, you can expect the vehicle to be picked up within 24 hours of the vehicles completion/readiness date. When it’s just gotta get there call
  866-DRV-STAR and request our expedited service.

  Please Note: Expedited Service refers to response time to vehicle pick up and not delivery. Delivery will be affected according to all D.O.T. operating constraints. Weather, traffic and other acts beyond our control may affect delivery date and time. Dependent on the time of day in which the order is received, we cannot guarantee 24 hours response time if the public transportation is not available in the market.

• Option # 2 – 5 Day Service (Level “B”)

  This service is offered to those customers who are faced with less demanding service requirements, however must still have their equipment picked up within a short period of time. When this service is selected, you can expect the vehicle to be picked up within 5 days of the vehicles completion/readiness date. This service is generally a less expensive option than our expedited service; however, you will still receive the same level of attention and care as you expect had you chosen option # 1.   Please Note: 5 Day Service refers to response time to vehicle pick up and not delivery. Delivery will be affected according to all D.O.T. operating constraints. Weather, traffic and other acts beyond our control may affect delivery date and time.

• Option # 3 – 10 Day Service (Level “C”)

  This service is offered to those customers who are more focused on cost than being able to predict delivery. This level of service is generally chosen for stock units rather than sold units for example. When this service is selected, you can expect the vehicle to be picked up within 10 days of the vehicles completion/readiness date. This service is generally the least expensive option. When choosing Option # 3, you will continue to receive the same level of attention and care as you could expect had you chosen option # 1 or # 2. Our Piggybacking, Boom Transfer and Tow-A-Way services are offered throughout North America. We at Drive Star are one of only a very select few that can offer service point to point in both Canada and the United States as well as offering services cross border.

As our customers are our first priority we offer a full range of complimentary services over and above our drive-a-way services.

• Preparation of Customs paperwork
• Preparation of Registered Importer paperwork
• Preparation of “R.I.V.” paperwork
• Washing of titles in order to obtain clean USA titles for trucks exported from Canada to the United States
• Preparation of various bonds including but not limited to, “In-transit”, “T.I.B” and Transit Manifests.
• Truck & Trailer storage in those cities that we have terminals
• Truck & Trailer site inspections for rental returns or off lease vehicles
• Demonstrator relocation to and from customers locations or trade shows
• Vehicle demonstration and training programs

• Pre-Purchase condition reports & Vehicle inspections
• Tow-a-way service for relocating trailers only. Through our “Power Only” service we can deliver your trailers throughout North America.
